Knowledge

I am a frequent reader of marketing blogs online. While SFU’s degree program provides me with the fundamentals to succeed in business, I enjoy keeping up to date with the latest trends, research, and news in the fields of marketing and advertising.

Besides marketing and advertising, I also closely follow internet news, web 2.0, and technology blogs. By keeping close tabs on developments such as the growth of social networking and web applications, I stay informed of new ways businesses are able to brand themselves online and forge deeper connections with their customers through enhanced interactions.

Finally, developing successful marketing campaigns is not possible without being aware of current trends in popular culture. Entertainment news websites, television news and entertainment shows, and magazines help me stay up to date on what people are talking about beyond my own social circle. I have also begun using Twitter and find it an excellent way to interact with online marketers, website managers, and entire companies.
